Hey!

I'm finalizing my current build, and the last step is to get the OS on the HDD which is proving to be a headache! When attempting to install Windows 10 Home (x64) on to a brand new Seagate Barracuda 2tb HDD (7200rmp) I was presented with a message saying it was not the correct format... it wants the drive to be GPT and it was already formatted as MBR to start with.

So, off to command prompt I went to try and format it myself, and it would not allow me to format it to GPT. It was always resulting in a failed attempt message. So I attempted to do NTFS which resulted in 5 hours of formatting the disk and a complete fail at the end. I can't seem to get this figured out and would like some advice on how to get this project up and running!

THANKS!!

please confirm you went to command prompt and did this:
Type 'Diskpart', press Enter
Type 'List Disk' , press Enter
Type 'Select Disk #' (where # is the number your drive shows up as), press Enter
Type 'Clean', press Enter
Type 'Convert GPT', press Enter
