Formatting with Win2000

okay normally i have 2 drives at my disposal and boot to my junk one to format my main drive but this time i only have my primary drive and it has windows 2000 on it. how the hell do i format it? theres no restart in dos mode and when i bring up the prompt in accessories it says i have to dismount the drive which i cant do because its in use. any help would be great.

how do you want to format it? FAT32 or NTFS?

well i just got an OEM WinXP Full in the mail so im going to stick with ntfs.

go to:

Control Panel
Administrative Tools
Computer Management

Then find Disk Management, this option will show you the phisycal hard drivers that u has on the system. Rigth click in the hard drive u want to format, then just click in format.
