Fortnite BSOD at battle royal lobby

when i launch fortnite i get a BSOD shorty after clicking on the battle royal mode. i hear sounds from the music just no lobbu screen.

update your motherboard sound drivers. see if you can install a version dated in june of 2017 or newer.
you might also go into device manager and disable any sound source that does not have a speaker connected to it.
