I just bought a new ASUS Strix RX 570 to stick in my older prebuilt. The full system specs are:
- Athlon II X2 645 @ 3.2 Ghz
- ASUS Strix RX 570 OC
- 8 Gb DDR3

Running at 1360x768

Now, I figure its caused by a CPU bottleneck, but I cant really afford a new CPU and MOBO just yet, so I expected some frames to be dropped from benchmarks. But when I play Fortnite, I am getting like 55 FPS on the low preset. What’s the problem? I upgraded from a GT 640 and I got literally no performance increase. If anything, I went backwards. Whats the problem?

Solution
You already know what the problem is, it's your CPU. Large multiplayer games need a good CPU, and yours is the bottleneck of the whole system. So by putting in a better card that requires more resources from the CPU, you've made the situation worse.
