Forum software seems to corrupt pasted URLs

I just tried pasting the following link to another post:
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/200599-30-memory-nooob-aarrggghh-timing s#t1249881
Although it pastes fine, without any internal spaces, in the post creation (or post editing) window, when the post is submitted, a space gets inserted in the middle of the URL, breaking it.

At the toolbar (at the top) There is a 'chain' icon that says 'url' if you hold your mouse over it. I was experiencing the same problem you are describing. I started highlighting all the url's I pasted and copied onto the post and clicking that 'url' chain icon. It worked.

Some url links I copy and paste onto a post work and others don't? So far, highlighting the url and clicking on that url icon has worked.

The whole URL thing was driving me f...ing crazy. I checked the manual and it says any link with http or www should be auto formated to be a link. The links show up in the preview and are not broken, however when posted they break. The chain button seems to be a work around until they fix this bug, assuming they ever do. Thanks for the insight badge. I really didn't want to have to type [url] all the time.

Edit: Seems to be working now. I just pasted a url from the CPU forum - and it works ok. Is this still an issue?
