Let's see here. Forza 6 was developed specifically for XB1. XB1 runs a modified version of Windows 10. So you're saying that Forza 6, when brought to PC, should be modified to run on older versions of Windows that MS doesn't fully support anymore?
if it was JUST the dx12 and it only working on windows 10 i could accept it, it's that on top of windows store only which i assume is the case, that i take even more issue with. take a look at tombraider on the windows store, the restrictions and what you can and can't do along with how it was installed is enough for me to hate the platform outright.
granted, the game being free takes A LOT of the bite out ot of what could have been a complete deal breaker. i remember when vista came around and they desperately tried to get gamers to move to it by making halo 2 dx10, but any dev not under the microsoft umbrella and wasn't suicidal opted to make it dx9, i can see them trying to make this game a loss leader, trying to get people to use their store...
about the only good thing i can say is this is the only game microsoft publishes i had any interest in, unless they pay devs a hell of alot of money, no one will make other games windows store exclusives, hell... potentially not even dx12 exclusive either.
also, windows store itself is annoying as hell to use too. looking at people who got tomb raider on that store to try it, you can't use the store unless you are 100% up to date, the moment you touch the store, your account now becomes live, making you jump through hoops to make it local again.
