forza horizon 3 warning

well when i play forza horizon 3 on high it says warning low video memory.
specs
i5 7300hq
gtx 1050ti 2gb
8gb 2400mhz ddr4

so if i was to upgrade to 16gb of ram then if this message pops up then would it affect the fps like stuttering and fps drops?

Video memory is not the same as your system RAM.
Video memory is the onboard for your graphics card. Lower textures would help

Upgrading system RAM won't help because the error is caused by low VRAM (video RAM) not system RAM.

It's the 2GB VRAM on the 1050Ti that's lacking, it's not enough to run FH3 on high settings.

You need to either turn the quality setting down in FH3 or by a compatible graphics card with at least 4GB VRAM.
