So my R5 2600, RX480 8Gb and 16Gb of 3200Mhz ram should play this just fine. Good to know I enjoy a little bit of racing, plus I expect this will probably be on game pass pretty quickly.

I'm thinking that even a 3080 will be more than capable of running it at 4K 60 or even 144Hz. In FH4 my 3090 gets 4K 60 with only around 50% GPU usage (at highest settings), and assuming if Forza Horizon 5 got 50% more demanding a 3080/6800XT will be more than adequate to handle it

Yeah but only because of the space required...

If these specs are for 1080 then the steamdeck will be "fine" .
As is so often the case, they don't bother to say what resolution(s) the requirements are based on.

Surely it can't be too difficult to tell us such a simple thing?

What's not answered is if older hardware is compatible (before the RX-400 and GTX-1000). They are sure strong enough to run at minimum, maybe at lower resolutions, but are they supported? I have an R9 380, that runs even Cyberpunk 2077 on medium/low at 1080p. I hope it doesn't need newer hardware, because I (well, most of us) can't upgrade the GPU now.

I can't wait to win a ton of high resolution, beautifully rendered, ray traced shirts, hats, and shoes! Love it when the wheelspin blows right past all those cars and sends useless cosmetics or small amounts of credits my way! Super excited! /sarcasm

These requirements look very similar to what was actually able to handle Horizon 4 at launch. I'm sure the support and performance will improve over time. Nice to know there's no abnormal jump in specs that would necessitate acquiring an unobtainable new GPU. I'm really on the fence about this game though. There was so much stuff to unlock in Horizon 4 that I don't want to wipe the slate clean and start all over in 5.
