my friend's Forza Horizon 5 won't open.
He tried it without the Windows defender, with the Windows defender.
Basically they have tried everything you can find on forums and threads.

The game worked before, but after a while it stopped working.

Have they uninstalled/reinstalled the game? Is the game with Origin or Steam. If so you can check the integrity of the files and this may help resolve the issue.

He tried to run it from steam and from xbox app (microsoft store)

He should scan anyway. Just because it's 3 months old doesn't mean there isn't malware or a virus on the system.

They viewed both malware and the integrity of files
