Found cheap EVGA 650W BQ 80+ bronze PSU, should I buy?

Hey all,

I've found a very cheap (£40 - nearly 1/2 price) PSU: EVGA 650W BQ semi modular 89+ bronze.

Think it is a new model, so can't find any reviews on it. This would likely save me about £40 on my build, as I was originally going to go for EVGA supernova g2 gold.


My GPU will be a gtx1070 and CPU a intel core I5 6600k.

Anyone know about this PSU, should I go for it now while it's still on sale?

It's a mediocre PSU that's usually overpriced.
Compare it to a Corsair CXM650 or any 650W XFX PSU, these are quality PSUs.
The BQ is alright for beginner's or office builds. Wouldn't pair it with an over-clocking CPU and high end GPUs as better quality PSUs are barely more expensive.

Ok thankyou, as the xfx is 650w over 550w, should i go for that? The 550W enough to power a gtx1070 and 6600k?

Edit: Also EVGA has better customer service. Comes with 5 years of warranty. EVGA GS is also newer power supply model.

mine is running since 2009 without giving me any issues.
