Unless any of these are adopted by ISPs for their use, it's not going to matter for some. I have AT&T and they won't let you bring your own modem. Stuck with their junk Motorola and adding my own wireless router.

With Cable ISPs adding support for DOCSIS 3.1 in the coming years, not showing one seems imprudent.
