FP202WA with GTX 970?

Hi im updating my graphics card from 5850hd to 970gtx ( prolly evga ) acx 2.0.
My old monitor has only VGA 15pin connect and im been using VGA cable with dvi adapter in the end.. so it fit my 5850hd.
Should i use my old cable with gtx 970 ? Or dvi/hdmi cable with vga adapter in the end.. does it make any difference?

The adapter's make little to no difference at all, I'd go with whatever is more convenient.
