Hi,

I bought a msi gaming x 1080 ti and wanted to do some benchmarks. But I have this strange probelm with valley and heaven and even tomb raider that every time I will adjust the numbers with afterburner and restart the benchamrk I get lower and lower fps until 20fps stutter I have to restart my pc in order to fix it but after 4-5 benchmarks its the same. With rise of tomb raider I have lower fps compared to others with similar specs ? what can be the problem?

I7 5960x @4.1
Rampage Extreme V
windows 10 pro
32ram 2666mhz

Everything with the newwest driver...

cpu around 50-60C and Gpu around 65C the strange thing is when the benchmark decides to use only 60-70% of my gpu I get very high fps but sometimes the same benchamark uses 99% and the fps drops after 20-30sec to 20fps....

could it be my PSU(be quiet! Dark Power Pro 10 (650 Watt) )

I doubt it. If you are getting random restarts than i would say yes. You could swap it out just to see if you have a spare psu. Are you watching your core clocks when fps drop ?

it had something to do with afterburner but im not sure why...I deleted afterburner and installed msi gaming app and the problem seems to be fixed.
One thing I dont understand is when using tomb raider benchmark I get avg. fps of 60 becuase of the hz of my monitor being 60 but why are the max fps values so close to 60 they are around 65-75. Ive seen videos on YouTube with the exact same gpu, resolution and settings getting over 100fps.....is the max value influenced by the fresh rate of my monitor??
