(oops, accidentally posted this first on the CPU site)
Is there a way to display current frame rate while running apps (games, looped Q3A demo)? Don't see an option in my Nvidia drivers, but I hear a lot of folks report different FPSs in certain games, etc. Maybe a shareware tweak tool (like coolbits for OCing)? Anyone?

it is in the game
i think in quake3...you type cl_drawfps in the console.
i might be wrong...but i might be right.
i dont know of any program that shows the fps in everything
i only know that some games support fps monitoring.
like halflife, quake3, mdk2..
stuff like that
just look for console commands for the game you are trying to find the fps for.

In HL-based games the command you need to put in either the console or the config.cfg file is net_graph 3. This not only shows fps, but current connection speed, packet loss, etc. It shows up in discreet white lettering on the bottom right corner of the screen (out of the way).
HL only runs at 99 fps or lower in the game. BUT, if you want to see the rendering capability of the game, you have to pull down the console and enter in timerefresh. This will do a little test and let you know what your TRUE fps capabilities are. My net graph shows a constant 80-99 fps, but with timerefresh, I'm getting about 275fps. (GF3 Ti200)

They have a software called FRAPS it measures ur FPS the only problem is it only works on direct 3d games.
