I changed my cpu from i3-6100 to i5-10400f yesterday with a new mobo. First time i opened a game the fps increases like from 100+ to 200+. But after i restart my pc , since then the fps remains the same as when i used the i3-6100. was it because i still using the same ram as i used i3? because my mobo can support higher ram speed

Mobo: Gigabyte h410m s2 v3
Cpu : i5 10400f
Gpu : Gtx 1050 asus single fan
Ram: 8gb ddr4 2133mhz ( single stick, will upgrade to a higher speed later with 2 sticks)
Psu: 550w 80+bronze aigo

Did you reinstall windows after the parts swap?
Did you get the proper bios and mobo drivers?
