Hello, everyone. I recently built a computer a few weeks ago and had no problems whatsoever until tonight. I basically only use my computer to play bf4, LoL, minecraft, and tf2. Well, today I started playing LoL and noticed my FPS dropped significantly. I normally had about 230 fps while playing LoL and now I only have about 35. I tried playing bf4 and it was like unplayable. I normally had about 100 fps while playing bf4 and now I have 14-18fps. I don't know what happened. I tried scanning my computer for viruses, I updated my video drivers, I dusted out my whole computer like 3 times, checked all of the connections...nothing. didn't change a thing. I don't know what to do.

Specs:
Intel 4790k quadcore
8gb of Corsair ram
EVGA GeForce gtx 950

Any help would be great! I'm pretty discouraged about this...

Do you plug in your DVI adapter in your motherboard? It drops fps by alot so if that's the case, plug it in your gpu
if that did not work,it's probably due to CPU throttling. Which means your CPU is overheating hence forcing it to downclock itself . To prevent itself of any further damage. Download "open hardware monitor" It's free , and so far it's working flawlessly for me. Then let it running while you are playing. Once it starts to have the sudden fps drops, alt+tab , and check the open hardware monitor's CPU temps- And if they are 60°+ . Then you found your problem. Easiest solution is to get a new cpu cooler, like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, but make sur it fits in your case
