Question FPS drop in Red Dead Redemption 2 ?

I recently bought a HP Omen 16 Gaming Laptop ... specs are ryzen 7 and an rtx 3070 ti... when i first bought it , i immediatle installed RDR 2 and i played it... the fps was over 85 fps at 1440p total quality with dlss at "off".. after the chapter 2 the train catching scene my fps was under 60 and even at 1080p normal settings i was not able to get 70 fps... its really hard for me to understand how this is happening... this only happens with rdr2 ... i play control but its super smooth on it ... i was getting 85 + fps at 1440p max settings with dlss on and ray raytracing at the ultra preset... please help... i dont have any bloatwear installed and there's plenty of free space.... please help

Well could be a number of things, Some area's in that game is more demanding than others, Can try Vulkan API if you haven't yet. What is your temps, both the CPU and GPU will downclock slowing down to keep temps in check.
