Fps drop then increased speed

Hey guys have a msi gl72 , 940mx graphics card .. 12gb ram .. i5 cpu . Playing dawn of war 2 . The laptop is 4 days old and for first two days ,game maxed out at 1080p no problems ... now for some reason I'm getting fps drops and then it will randomly speed the game up for 2 seconds so the games playing faster the. It should . Any ideas ?

Have you checked your GPU, CPU and RAM usage when it occurs? It may be that something is bottlenecking. It could also be realted to driver issues but that's less likely.
