Fps drop when playing fortnite and other games

When I'm in the game I experience a micro stutter as my fps drops from 120 to 90 fps and goes back up. I'm just wondering if this is Normal. Specs are

I5 4690
Gtx 1060 zotac mini
Vengeance ram 8GB
Western digital blue 1 TB

I've had issues like this before. More than likely, either your GPU had something along the lines of a hiccup, your game didn't render because your HDD wasn't supplying the data fast enough (which is why SSDs are becoming more popular) or you're in a situation where something which isn't visible to you causes an issue as far as rendering. I've had a similar issue in WoW many times.
