Hey!
So i recently bought new specs. Everything worked fine the first week then all of a sudden all my games started lagging and the fps went to like 10... Ive tried reinstalling all my drivers, changing settings that ive found online but none of the things has helped me fix any of the issues. I have even tried to format my comp and the issue is still there so i have no idea what to do now.. Help please!

Specs:
Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB
Corsair XMS3 Vengeance DDR3 PC12800/1600MHz CL9 4GB
Intel Core i5-4690K - 3,5GHz (3,9Ghz Turbo) / 6MB
ASUS Z97-P - ATX / Z97
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960

Solution
so you wanna post what your hardware temperatures while gaming and what games you play, couse some games do that in some particular places, etc ..

A few questions and answers
1. Do you have more than one monitor? If so try removing the other monitors and play a game.
2. If you have youtube or any other media playing softwares active in the background this may reduce your performance.
3. If you have tried all the new updates et.c, try old versions of the GPU drivers, it might be that the new one has some settings more designed to the later models or specified to a game.. Nvidia does that some times.
4. Make sure your RAM, Hard drive is working and is not about to be breaking, there is various softwares you can try. (google)
5. look at the requirements of the game, make sure your PC is up to par with their requirements.

Okay, this could be a number of things, including but not limited to: gpu temps, your overclock isn't stable, faulty gpu, cpu temps, incorrectly uninstalled drivers (you didn't completely remove the old ones), faulty psu, improperly seated gpu (you didn't install it correctly).

Go ahead and get a hardware monitoring software of your choice (I like hwmonitor, cpuz, but there are plenty out there). Check your temps using Kombustor or your preferred stress testing program, track your clock speed under stress (looks like the NV 960 is clocked at about 1279 MHz ).

Post your results if you don't see anything off.

Temps is around 50-60C when playing games. H1Z1 and Battlefield Hardline is the ones ive tried after the format was done. Did some other before it aswell

The fps is jumping all over the place... I goes from 30 to 120 and back to 12 and so on. 1920x1080 is what i am using

Try my methods i posted, thanks.

1. Yes i have 2 monitors. Tested the game with just one of them and still the same fps.
2. Only skype but that cant make a big diffrence
3. Have not tried any old drivers, gonna try it out now 🙂
4. Dont know how to see that maybe you can see if the gyazo pictures i sent in another comment will help.
5. Every thing should be fine

To try out RAM you can turn off your PC and remove the power cable, then proceed to remove 1 of the RAM sticks from the motherboard. Start the PC up again and then if it works do the same with the other. If both of them work you can rule out a broken RAM stick.

Hard drive check can be done by downloading softwares such as these.

P.S Bonus question
Did you actually unplug the monitor from your PC or did you just turn it off on the button?

I unplugged the cable on the monitor not in the computer. Why do i need to check my hard drive? I never use it anyways.

Then unplug the monitor from the PC cause it is still connected to the PC if you do not. It might be an issue of your GPU being strained with 2 monitors.
Your hard drive is being used as your PC is running all the time, if the hard drive is breaking down you might want to know?

Solution

Unplugged the other monitor cable from the computer and all of a sudden battlefield works but h1z1 still has the same issue.. Have not tried the other things you suggested yet but thanks for the help! :)
