Question FPS Drop when using second monitor only connected to laptop

When I use my laptop connected to my second monitor (ASUS TUF VG279QM), my fps in every game drop to 30fps~, even when I am in the menu with 1280x1024 my fps is only 24-30 (CSGO). When I use laptop's monitor I have no issues with fps. This doesn't happen on my main laptop, only on my second laptop, I have searched for a fix and nothing works.

if this system has a dedicated graphics card
you may have BIOS or other control software set to only use iGPU when connected to external display.

many give the option to choose which.
if this is the issue you'd just need to determine where this decision can be located;
in BIOS or other manufacturer software.

The laptop only used integrated graphics

what fps are you getting and at what resolution with the integrated screen?

On the integrated screen I get around 80fps ~ in Valorant's The Range and with external monitor I am only getting 40fps ~.
