CPU: i5 2500k (4300mhz)
Gpu: Gigabyte GTX 1060 3 GB
Ram: 8 GB DDR3
PSU: Corsair vx450w (12-33A)
HDD: 1 SSD & 1 HDD
Win 10

So after a while of playing the fps drops from like 60-75 to 55-45.Why does this happen I checked the temps they are fine both cpu and gpu never go above 65,whats funny is that when I start the game (far cry 5) with vsync it never drops below 60 and the cpu and gpu usage is around 85 -90% but tafter the fps drop they are at 100%.What should I do?

Sounds like your cpu might be throttling back. That would reduce your fps. The temperatures are not consistent with this, but I don't put 100% faith in temperature readings. I have had two temperature apps side by side giving temperatures that were 20 degrees off one another. Maybe you're running hotter than you think.

So here are two things you can do to test the gear.

1. Download Unigine Superposition (benchmark) and run it at high or even extreme setting. It will give you data on the temperature which you can then check against the temps you measure with your app. It will also summarize your high and low FPS. I have checked Unigine Superposition temps against readings in CPUID app and they seem very close. It also gives utililization.

2. Reduce your resolution setting in your games and see if it still happens.

It may be that you see FPS drop first and then an increase in capacity utilization but that the order in which you see them (reported by software) isn't the order in which they occur. Perhaps you hit 100%, get throttled, and your fps drops.

Every game that i play gives me fps drop, it goes from 80 fps to 45 fps after a few minutes of playing.I use msi afterburner for monitoring cpu and gpu thermals.Cpu never goes above 65^degrees.Here is the problem. my gpu starts good, usage usually is 99% and the fps good, temps never go above 71^ degrees but then the fps starts to drop and the gpu temps drop as well, but the usage never drops stays at 99%, and the clocks dont change. Why is this happening?

So the question is: Is my gpu throttling itself. There are times when I play for hours and the fps stays consistent but usually it happens after 30 minutes.
Pls help I did everything,I re-installed everything , updated all my drivers, did a fresh os install nothing helps.
