Fps drops after overclocking

Hey, so recently my PC has been seriously dropping frames, it usually runs at around 60fps but has been dropping to between 10-30 frames. this makes the games I play, mostly overwatch, unplayable I have updated all my drivers and it cant be a problem with temperature as it usually hovers around 55 degrees Celsius. My specs are an AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six core processor, NVIDIA GeForce 1050Ti and 8GB RAM. When these frame drops happen my Gpu usage spikes. Recently I overclocked my setup, do you think this could have anything to do with my problems?

What are you full system specs?

How did you determine your OC was stable?

Inconsistent FPS results or dropped FPS could be indicative of an unstable OC.

I determined my OC was stable by using msi combustor and looked for graphical issues, as soon as there were any or it crashed I -10 mhz on the clocks. And i have now reset my OC and the issue is still happeneing

Lack of artifacts on screen etc do not guarantee a stable OC.

Remove your OC and run your games.... does performance improve? If so, your OC isn't stable.

I removed the OC and the Fps drops are still happening

Check Windows update first of all - see if anything was installed/updated around the same time this issue started to occur.

You are playing the same games etc, right? Apples to Apples comparison?

how can i see my full system specs, and i was looking through some other threads relating to my problem and the solution was to completely uninstall and reinstall my video card drivers do you think this would work?

It's an option, but you'd typically know that you updated the GPU driver at the time.
