Hello

I am having huge fps drops that i never had before, all components are stock and not oc'd.

-MSI 760GA-P43(FX) (MS-7699) (CPU1)
-AMD FX-6300
-GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
-16,0GB Dual-Channel DDR3
-223GB SanDisk SDSSDA240G (SSD)

There is no throttling going on nor is anything overheating.
In a game the temp reaches 55c on the cpu mb and gpu hits 35/40.

Anybody known with this setup or can tell me more about it?

Regards

check the SSD speed with the SATA ports 7 or 8 (SATA III 6G ports)
install asmedia sata III drivers before, if not done yet
change the boot order in BIOS after moving to the faster ports

but I think something is writing to your SSD during the test, because you should get at least like 200MB/s on the sata II 3G port instead of 91,37MB/s

I just switched the ssd to sata 8 and it increased to nearly 165mb/s screenshot below

https://gyazo.com/3a8f5841cad4f25ba3befc29354d0351

Replaced the GPU earlier today didnt make any diffrence with a 2gb msi r7 260x 2gb still the same issue

will do another benchmark with timespy.

just want to say thx to helpstar and madmatt for the help and support already hope we can find something.

I am running the same game on a diffrent setup wich is a little less good than this one without fps drops and fairly the same settings.
Will post the setup in a bit from my other pc.

My other setup that runs the game pretty smooth without fps drops.
Can i compare these two setup's, wich one would be better?

-Intel Core i5 2500 @ 3.30GHz
-ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3
-GeForce GTX 960 MSI
-16,0GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz
-59GB SAMSUNG SSD 830 Series ATA Device (SSD)
465GB SAMSUNG HD502HJ ATA Device (SATA)
298GB Seagate ST3320418AS ATA Device (SATA)

There's not much between them , the 2500 is stronger on single core performance (not by as much as some people would tell you though)

The 1050ti is maybe 10% stronger than a 960 in a best case scenario - essentially you're talking 4-5fps generally.

thanks for the headsup :)

New benchmark result after new cooling paste and the switch to sata 8 port

check temperature again

check the 1050TI in your other setup

in your other setup: 16GB single channel? Only one RAM module installed? change one module to a different slot, if two are installed. Dual channel would be optimal.

run "TRIM" manually from the sandisk utility
did you customize settings yourself for the SSD?
The outcome for your SSD should be: sequential read 520Mb / write 370MB/s

still could be the "normal" behaviour for a AMD FX system: overheating of voltage regulators on the motherboard

Will change the 960 with the 1050 just to test it on my other setup.
The 16gb are in 2 modules 2x8 1333mhz. , on this machine i have tried 2 diffrent RAM options 2x8 1600mhz wich is in it right now and i have tried 4x4 1333mhz.
Result is that the 2x8 1600mhz is doin better.

I have not made any custom settings on the SSD nor do i have a sandisk utility but i might have overseen something will look for it if not download it.

What does TRIM do or is it a auto program within the utility?

edit: result after running TRIM

slight improvement.

also check the firmware with this too, if an update is available

for the Intel system:
2x8GB should be installed in dual channel mode, like that you can nearly double the bandwidth of your RAM.
Install the modules in the 1st and 3rd slot (left to right from CPU)
Dual Channel: DDR3_A1, DDR3_B1, Black

No updates available for the SSD everything shows is up to date.
And yes you are right i have misplaced the RAM on the intel system (facepalm) :)
