I'm getting fps drops in nearly every game I have tried to test and I can't seem to figure out why.
I ran speccy to check temps and nothing was getting over 65 or 70 degrees
My cpu and gpu usage sit around 50% in games like overwatch which should be a easy to run on low
Sometimes the usage on the cpu and ram will go up to 70 or 80% but normally go back down and it seems to be independent of the fps drops
I hitting up to 300-400 fps but it will quickly drop down to 40 or 50 and sometimes even freezes then comes back.
CPU: Ryzen 5 1500x
GPU: Radeon 5700 XT
RAM: Something cheap running at 1064MHz
I thought it was my GPU originally because I had a GTX 970 which I had used for many years and needed to overclock to get the frames I used too so I upgraded my gpu hoping it would fix the issue but it has only made it worse
I have tried closing all my background processes and while this does help my max frame rate the stutters still happen
