FPS drops during Batman: Arkham City

I bought Batman: Arkham City recently and experienced low FPS sometimes.
Which part should be upgraded to fix the fps drops?

I didn't build it. I bought it 2 years ago and it came with 6GB.

I guess I'll upgrade the GPU then.

And to the OP yes upgrade your video card, I purchased a 7950 w/ Boost and for the money its one of the best cards u can buy, plus if AMD are still running the promo, u get Far Cry3, Hitman Absolution, Sleeping Dogs FREE, ($170) and 20% off MOH but don't waste ur money on that. If you prefer nVidia, grab a 670.

Read this,I do not have the game now so I can't test and the above post is not mine but it works.

the above link will tell you how to fix it. i did it myself and it works 100%.
it takes all of 5 mins to do and 1s done your fps will jump to 30+ as long as you dont go mad with settings above what your card can handle...

triple channels is better for more bandwidth but its not needed with the new faster rams. it turns out that dual channel runing fast is just as effective as triple channel running slow.

Im running the same processor with dual 570's, I get great framerates at 2560 x 1440 on max settings in batman (AA x2)

Upgrade your graphics card

EDIT :- I upgraded to 12 GB ram, but 6 GB was plenty. I only got 12 because it was cheap.
