FPS Drops in a few games

2x G1 Gaming 980 Ti's
Asus x99 Sabertooth
16gb 2400mhz Ram
850 Evo 250gb ssd
3tb Toshiba 7200 HDD
Corsair Rm1000I
H100i Gtx


So basically, I am dipping fps in games that I personally don't think should.

BF4- dips to 125-130 fps in a few places
modded skyrim- dips to 40
unreal tournament 2014-dips to 125 to 130
insurgency- dips to 90
payday 2- dips to ~110

But my firestrike scores are fine.

1080P and oddly enough, in Battlefield, if I do 200% scale, NO change whatsoever. Older games like payday and insurgency seem to run worse for me with newer hardware and they did with older hardware

With two 980 tis and that setup, you should be able to do 4k or at least 1440p.

I'm not making fun man, I know you're having issues. Its just a shocker to me lol.

hhhhmmmm...it can't be your PC at all man, cause I have one 980 ti and I'm getting your FPS in at least BF4 and Insurgency.

The only game I've tested on that is Hitman Absolution but all the other review of the card have hitmans fps a little lower. I average 144 fps but ive gotten down to 90.

go through the nvidia control panel, manage 3d settings and make sure every setting is set to performance that can be set to performance

using such a powerfull gpu setup in 1080p is a waste ! SLI and CF are good for high resolution gaming , in lower res they have some problems , and drivers never solve all of them

It's not a waste when you are trying to push each game to 144 FPS. The games I mentioned....are they all unoptimized?

sorry man, I got tired. No man, just insurgency and bf4. But I do run crysis 3 at 2720x1620 or something of that frickin nature, and i got 80+ fps

OK. So i asked on another forum, and one member said that it's due to drivers?

yeah, you can try drivers but I got the newest one and I get amazing performance and I got a single 980 ti.
