Question FPS drops in-game

Hello,
This is my first post on this forum and I'm not sure if its the right topic that I'm asking under but I will give it a try anyways.
So tldr of my problem is that I'm playing a videogame (League of Legends) with a pretty good PC considering the game requirements.

My components are:
cpu: Intel Core i5 6600
motherboard: Gigabyte H110M-S2HP-CF
memory: 16GB DDR4
graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 4GB
monitor: Asus VG248

So in NVIDIA control panel I already disabled V-sync and properties like that to improve my performance and not video quality also in-game settings are more performance oriented. I'm thinking that my problem is because I'm trying to play on 144hz settings but some settings fight between themselfes and that causes FPS drops but thats just my thinking because obviously hardware is good enough for that video game. I would be very happy in anyone could help me or give me theirs opinion on my problem.

What fps are you getting? What monitor do you have? What issue are you having? I feel we are missing some info.

Hello, I capped my FPS ingame to 144. When action is happening it drops out to 90-100 FPS and it really feels laggy its unplayable...
My monitor is mentioned above: ASUS VG248.
Issue is that my FPS should not be dropping if we look at the game requirements.
