Hello, I have very often fps drops in GTA 5.
My specs are: Asus GTX 1080 @ 2000 mhz
I7 8700k @ 4,8 ghz
Kraken x62 for cpu cooling
MSI Z370 A pro
Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4
RAM 3000 mhz 16 gb
1x WD blue 2tb harddrive
1x MX 500 Crucial 250gb ssd
and a Corsair RM 650x 650 w

The temps are normal and every is running with stable clocks. I dont know what I can do.
Sry for my bad english btw.

Solution
Stop overclocking the GPU and put the CPU back to stock.
Test. If good, youve found the problem.

I've had overclocked systems that only exhibit problems in games, not stress testing software.
Do you use Geforce Experience? Don't.

Ram 3000MHz doesn't say much, how much do you have? 8GB ram with 2~3GBvram GPU, 16GB with 4GB+ vram. Storage pagefile gets too big if not enough ram.

Don't set grass to ultra, there's no need.

What monitor/res? If 1080p try use smaa antialiasing. If 1440p, turn antialiasing off, dont need it.

Assuming win10 with that gear? Disable gamebar and xbox recording.

Update gpu drivers to latest - if you haven't yet. @ Geforce.com

I use Gerforce Expierience.
I have 16 gb ram with a 8 gb vram card. I dont have it at ultra, only at high. I already disabled gamebar and xbox recording.
Im going to update my drivers now.
