gtx 550 ti, i3 550 3.2ghz, 4gb ram

i have fps drops every 4,5 seconds (2-4 seconds freezes) in big areas in new games like far cry 4, dying light, daylight, planetside 2 (in battles)

i had no problems in games like wolfenstein tno, metro last light, outlast, alien isolation, mgs v ground zeroes. its so annoying and it makes games unplayable. Can you guys help me?

Solution
check your RAM utilization during the drop periods along with disk IO. 4GB's of ram is tight for new titles and you may be paging.

i tried to change my ram to 6gb but it did not work. my pegatron-ipmip-h55-gen chipset is compatible to 8gb ram but it does not allow kingston ram. i get 30 fps in Dying Light on low-medium settings but when i go to outside i have fps drops every 4-5 seconds. When i look straight there is no problem but when i look around fps drops happens. Dying light system req was minimum 4gb ram but this happens.

Get some monitoring software onto your PC and figure it out :)

msi afterburner, hwinfo and rivatuner will be all the tools you need

If your ram hits 3.8gb used and the stutter happens, it's probably your ram
If VRAM hits 1024mb and the stutter happens it's probably your VRAM
If CPU usage is always high when the stutter happens it could be your cpu

It sounds like you need more ram then :)

As pasow said, when you run out of ram your computer uses the (much much slower) pagefile on your hard drive instead.

Your processor is an old dual core . Its not going to handle modern games that well under any circumstances . And especially not in multiplayer where cpu loads can be a lot higher .
I do not think there will be a huge improvement from adding more RAM , and none at all if you have a 32 bit operating system .

Time to invest in a stronger core system
