Fps drops on most games i play

-Cpu Intel i5 6500 3.2ghz
-Gpu Msi nvidia gtx 970 (all drivers
updated)
-Ram CorsairVengence DDR4 3000mhz 2x4gb
-Power 750w corsair 80+ bronze
-Os windows 10

i built my pc 2years ago everything was fine i added a new 2TB hardrive a few months ago and moved all my games over to that 1 and thats when i started noticing fps drops it was not instantly it was a few weeks after i installed the hardrive and i just cant seem to find the problem

What games are you having the issue most noticeable in?

Could be a faulty SATA cable that is messing with the Read/Write speeds on the HDD? Or maybe a faulty HDD itself, but I wouldn't think so.

Solution
Download and use MSI Afterburner when playing. It will show everything thats being used. Like cpu usage, core temps, fps ets.
When fps goes down, see if anything goes down at the same time.
