Recently i just found out that the monitor actually affects ur fps.
my monitor highest refresh rate is 75hz. so what is the fps i should cap inorder for my game to run smooth?

i got a question, i cant seem to change my hz to 75hz.
if am playing bf4 , my fps can reach 120. so my monitor max is only showing 75fps?
conclusion : cap my bf4 fps to 75 since going more than that will heat my gfx . right?

Should be in your screen resolution settings somewhere pending your OS. Sometimes, when going from 60hz to 75hz it decreases the resolution you play at. My monitor says it goes up to 75hz also, but I keep it to 60hz to play at 1080p rather than 1600x900.
My fps reaches ~80 in BF4 but I don't cap it because I haven't seen any tearing occuring.
If you are experiencing tearing, I suggest capping your fps.
In terms of heating your graphics card, yes it will push it more so it gets hotter.
If you're not comfortable with the heat and want to be on the safe side, go ahead and cap it! 🙂

Hertz = 1 cycle per second.

FPS = Frames per second.

So, 75 Hertz = 75 frames per second.

However, if you're playing a game, it may not constantly run at that many frames per second. Or, you may not have a PC powerful enough to project that many frames.

What I'd do is, Cap it at 75 Hz and hope your PC can out put that :)

don't worry about it.

putting a frame cap will introduce input lag; but people won't notice it much and dispute that it happens. the worse that can happen is getting screen tear; where the monitor receives two frames within the time of one refresh and draw half of each to the screen.

if it looks fine to you then enjoy it.

Sure, if you feel the need to! You won't see any difference in the graphics though if that's what you're referring to.
If you're experiencing screen tearing I suggest capping it 😛.
If you're not, don't need to!

Then don't cap it if you feel restricted 😛

Cap it if you're experiencing screen tearing.
