Hi all,

I recently just installed a couple new components into my system with hopes of a massive performance increase, as one does. I haven't noticed too much of an increase but hey i gotta let myself experience it for a bit :D

Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x (from R5 1600)
MoBo: GA-AB350M Gaming 3 (BIOS version F20)
OS: Windows 10
RAM: Corsair CMK8GX4M2B3000C15 Vengeance LPX 4 x 4GB DDR4 3000 MHz
GPU: ASUS GEFORCE GTX 1070 Ti (from 1060 6GB)
PSU: Corsair VS650 (from EVGA 500w)

The following is from playing League of Legends on very high settings across the board, max 144 fps cap and 2560 x 1440.

My main issue is around gaming, i am now using a 144Hz monitor, which is beautiful, but im getting slight fps drops occasionally, the change in fps is usually only around 10-15 lower than 144 but it feels more impactful than that. Ive had a similar issue in the past but that was more around high tempeatures whereas my cpu is maxing out at 60 under stress and GPU at 50 (these arent great temps but not high enough for throttling yet, surely?) I also thought it could be the RAM not running properly at 3000MHz.

After the addition of the new parts i updated my bios version to the minimum required for the R7 2700x and clean instealled my GPU drivers. Is there anything else i missed in case im losing out on performance somewhere?

A side note is that my monitor is the HP 27xq, i have set it to freesync and have enabled g sync too, this seems to have made the monitor 143 Hz instead of 144, any ideas here?

If anything else is needed please ask.
