[SOLVED] FPS issues with my current build

Hi,

Currently im running a i7 6700k with 16gb ram. I have a gtx 970.

Im having fps drops/stuttering and freezes while playing csgo (the only game i play). The fps drops rapidly from 200+ to direct 80's.

Im thinking of upgrading my gpu from 970 to 2070s.

Plus my friend is thinking of making a new pc just for the purpose of playing csgo.

Specs will be i59600k gpu 2070s 16gb ram (3200mhz) z390 mobo.

Your pc is enough to run csgo at 200 fps+. CSGO runs mostly on processor rather graphic card, for that reason the i7-6700k vs i5-9600k are barely the same, and there is no need for upgrade there. I think the problem for the fps drops might be any update, or non update of drivers.
Nvidia is known for using updates to lower the older graphic card speed, so if you update all drivers and still have bad fps then try to get older nvidia drivers! I had kinda the same problem with nvidia.
