FPS Lag on all games

I have a Nvidia GTX 760 and 8GB of Ram and I am getting unplayable FPS lag. I recently did a virus scan in safe boot, it found 5 problems but fixed them. I thought the lag was over but it is still happening. I have a screenshot of GPU-Z while playing a game if this helps: http://prnt.sc/ayl65h Please help!

It is a variety of games. For example, Rocket League, GTAV, Depth, Rainbow Six: Siege.

1. Does it lag when its only online or all the time?
2. What are your CPU and HDD/SDD specifications?

It only lags online.
I have an Intel Core i7-4790 3.6GHz and a WD 3.5" 1TB 7200rpm

sorry about the late reply here. It sounds like it may be a network issue. We need to find the weakest link in your network setup,

What are your Download and Upload speeds your are recieving VS what you were quoted?
What type of router do you have?
Are you wireless or wired?

If it is a issue, would it make the FPS go down or would it only feel like it. Because I have a FPS counter and whenever I am getting FPS lag it drops to around 15.
I get around 400-600KB/s and have a NETGEAR N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit ADSL2+ Modem Router and I am wireless. Sorry for the late response and thanks again for the replies.

When your playing a game online your also connecting to an online server so you can play with other people. If you have a bad connection or the server connection is bad you will experience lag. It is not gpu lag or cpu lag it is network lag which is why you experience it only online. Yes your fps will go down but thats because the slow connection is taking a while to understand what is going on or process the requests made.

I would reccomend trying to hardwire your connection and see if that helps. In most cases hardwire is alot faster than wireless.

If not, your router or modem may be going bad. Try to reset them by unplugging both for ten seconds then plugging them back in

Thank you so much for the help, I just want to ask one more thing.
Is there a reason why all this is happening after I cleaned the inside of my computer or is it just a coincidence?
