Hello i purchased this computer 3 weeks ago: http://www.microcenter.com/product/502046/G315_Desktop_Computer
and i am also using a G-sync monitor with g-sync enabled its set to 240 fps in my nvidia software and i haven't had a problem until yesterday. I turned on fortnite and in the main screen my fps sky rocketed to 500 fps and my computer started making a louder noise than usual so i went into fortnite setting and changed max fps to 240 and it went down, i always had it set to unlimited and it never gave me a problem. There was a game update prior to this event maybe that has to do something with it. It hasn't happened since but now i am super paranoid that there something wrong with my pc ( everything was brand new ). I am now noticing all noises coming out from the pc and i feel like its broken even though i am probably paranoid and the thing is i cant compare to what it sounded like because i didnt really pay attention to it before. Now while i game there just a really tiny whistling noise, barely noticeable. Any idea what happened and what should i do? Is my GPU or Power supply messed up?? Any way to check it.

Thank you for your reply, the sound i hear is similar to the second video you sent but only about 15% of it, barely noticeable. It might be just a normal noise of my computer working but i am unsure. The sound isnt smooth its kind of laggy and it lasts much longer, hard to explain but its definitely not the hard drive, its either the power supply or gcard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J09pWNQPK7U kind of like the twitching of the hard drive here but way way way more quiet, like 5% of what youre hearing in this video. Barely hearable. Its like a really low crackling sound.

https://ufile.io/ddtvy here is a spread sheet of my computers logs from hwinfo after about 3 hours of fortnite gameplay running at 170-240 fps. Mix of ultra/low settings.

I doubt that the problem yesterday was caused by over heating, i turned my pc on and updated the game which took me like 5 mins then as soon as i turned the game on and went to main screen i sky rocketed to 500 fps and i got a sound like in the first video you sent. Its weird because i have g sync set to 240 fps, i quickly went into game setting and changed max fps to 240 instead of unlimited and then the sound went away.

Do you think any of my equipment is breaking or in danger?

Also is it bad that i have dual monitor, second one is only 60 hz i use it to watch vids or chat with people while gaming. Sometimes my main monitor falls down to 60 fps when im using the dual monitor and when i switch back i go back up to 200 or whatever i had it at

It's normal, its the fans spinning faster. The loud noise you hear when you reach 500fps is a usual phenomenon for electrical circuits, even though it may be unpleasant. There are ways you can reduce it, but just know that you are fine.

Whatever how much FPS you can get, your monitor will not follow.. 240 FPS is insanely too high, even for an overclocked monitor. I would say the fastest are going up to 200 fps. If you have a 144Hz monitor, you should lower your max FPS.
It would help if you tell us what is your exact monitor brand/model.
It might also come from a poor PSU.... always, always, always get a good PSU with far enough room for your rig, particularly if you start to overclock anything!
