So, pretty much what the title says. Recently I've been experiencing massive stutters with most games I've played (minecraft, halo and destiny 2). It makes it almost impossible to play because it will happen every few mins.
Here are my current specs:
Device name DESKTOP-1PQPQNS
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.21 GHz
Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.80 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
GPU: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060 with Max-Q Design

I used to be able to play all these games with no issue so I don't get why it would be suddenly stuttering like this.

Here's a video of it stuttering on Destiny 2:

I'm not very tech savvy so I don't really know what a single channel is. I will try to see if getting 16GB works better.
You have slots for your ram on your mobo. I assume laptops are pretty similar to desktops, you’re only using one of those it sounds like. It’s best to run dual channel.

I looked more into this and downloaded a program called CPU-Z to check, it seems that I am running a duel channel.
