Question Fps stutters on every game.

hello. im new to this. first ever thread on anything. im running an
I7-8700k 6-core 3.7GHz (currently overclocked to 4.2 of 4.7 GHz),
Asrock z370 pro4-IB
16GB of DDR4- 2666Mhz memory.
240 GB SSD and 1TB HDD
Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070 8GB
Windows 10
ive had stutters in the past but things seem to be getting more frequent. i have no idea what to look for as to what could be casuing the drops (usuually BIG like 140 - 40 and back. or 95-30 and back.) my cpu is liquid cooled and ive monitored everything to make sure there was no signs of overheating. but even games that shouldnt tax my pc at all have drops that basically freeze the game momentarily. if anyone has any suggestions please help and in the words of Micheal Scott "Explain it to me like im 5."

Mind sharing your system's specs liek so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

You could try uninstalling and reinstalling your GPU driver and see if that helps.

hi thanks for your input. i laid all the details out in the description to the best of my knowledge and im not 100% familiar with how to uninstall and reinstall my drivers but ill look into it and let you know if i see improvement.
