Question FPS takes a hit when moving mouse in games ?

In games like Back 4 Blood and Insurgency Sandstorm, the FPS will drop from ~120 to less than 30 whenever I move the mouse.

Moving around with WASD doesn't affect the FPS, only moving the mouse does. Using a Glorious Model D, at 250Hz polling rate but still experiencing lag.

Tried uninstalling the Model D drivers and iCUE but they don't seem to do anything.

Are there any solutions for this or any reasons why this might be happening?

Is it just that one game?

The benchmark results show you have very high background cpu usage. This may or may not be the cause but it’s something you want to look into. Have a look under task manager and see what is using the cpu and close all programs you don’t need.

What are your cpu and gpu temperatures when in the game?

It can affect some other games but I don't exactly remember which since some are pretty unplayable.

My temps usually reach around 68C (CPU) and 83C (GPU), and games like GTA V don't seem to have this issue or they don't drop to below 30FPS (sometimes even single-digit FPS).

Temps are ok, gpu a little high but not the problem. Your cpu usage is much lower in those screenshots than what the benchmark reported, did you close something?

Hmm I’m out of ideas at this point. Hopefully someone else will have an idea.
