Hi, my name is Kip or on twitch my name is iKip. For the longest I could remember I have had this on going issue with my computer where when im playing any game the amount of fps displayed on my screen is not what i'm actually getting. Iv'e tried countless things by researching but im still not sure what the problem could be. I don't know if it's streamlabs OBS, The Game, bad hardware, bad drivers. I'm lost, but if anyone could help me fix this problem i would greatly appreciate it. My stream is https://www.twitch.tv/ikip.

Side Note, The frames on stream do not drop its only on my screen

This is a problem that isn't that uncommon. With other scenarios like CPU temperature, you do have actual temperature to compare to in the BIOS. You can search for actual FPS, official FPS, or true FPS (or something similar). There are quite a few application downloads.

But unlike the above example, there isn't an "official" FPS to compare it to.

I would suggest using a good overclock software like Afterburner and use their numbers. Compare that to the numbers in your game.

Here is a discussion on using Afterburner for FPS monitoring.
