Anybody know what to think here? I have an RTX 2080 super, a Ryzen 7 3800x, and 16Gb of 3600MhZ memory. Why might I only get 90 ish FPS in destiny 2 at max settings? I know not many like that game but I’ve found it to be a very intensive tester. It certainly isn’t the newest thing out there (2016) or the prettiest so I have no idea why a game like battlefield 1 would yield almost 140 FPS at max settings whereas destiny 2 barely breaks 100 just walking around the in game world (max settings). I have this itching feeling that maybe my PC isn’t performing up to spec. Like maybe I have some sort of bottleneck or software issue that’s hurting my performance. Any thoughts? When I look up 2080 super average destiny 2 FPS google says 200 ish lol. Thanks!

Don't look at average FPS first of all, it is a terrible reference and is very innacurate. Destiny 2 is a intensive game and runs about 70 on a RTX2060 on high but drops to 60 at very intensive situations. Are you playing at 144hz, because if your playing at 60hz then I don't get why its an issue. But BF 5 is optimised and I could run it on my old GTX1050 whereas Destiny 2 ran at 50fps. Games are different, all games will run different.

I am trying to run at 1440p 144hz. If I could just get to the 144 mark then I would be cool. I just don't know how much to expect out of my rig here. The internet has not been a help as it just makes me think I am behind in terms of performance. User benchmark requires a lot of free dosk space to not error out so give me a moment to make that right...

Did you alter the nvidia driver settings ?

Which resolution and refresh rate?

run userbenchmark.com and post the link of your result
