can this case fit the asus strix gtx 980? the case says it can take 29cm length graphics cards with the cage installed and the card itself is 28.86cm, and the card apparently takes two slots so would my case fit it do you think?
i'm using a 1tb hdd and a 256gb ssd in the cage, spaced out though. would rather not remove them since i've actually never done that before (got a computer place to build it for me). installing the new graphics card will be the first adjustment ive made myself so just being doubly sure.
You can still space the hard drive and SSD on the bottom drive cage. The main drive cage is simply held in by thumb screws. Just remove them and then you can slide the cage out. It's made to be easy taken out of builders want to. It may help your intake airflow as well.
@Suztera would it just be scraping against the hdd cage? or be off it entirely? also would it being that close to the cage make the heat dissipation less effective? i would choose the gtx 970 but its all sold out here (the asus strix 970)

It shouldn't touch the hard drive. The airflow is less likely to affect it unless you put some drives into that cage. You could just remove the cage if you only using one or two drives for your build.
