Hi,
Im looking to buy a new pc and looking for a silentish workstation. I was considering the Corsair Carbide 330R or the Fractal Define R5 but i am also open to newer suggestions in the same price bracket as i appreciate these cases are a couple of years old now. I couldn't find any direct comparisons online so was wondering what everyone would recommend? Is either case quieter or cooler than the other?

In regards to other alternatives i am after something with a minimalist design if possible and preferably a 5.25" drive but is not a deal breaker.

Thanks

Just built a basic Kaby Lake system in a Define R5. I got a great deal for windowed black at $79.99 shipped on Newegg. Its put together better than I thought for the price. Front door has plenty of weight to it. Sound dampening works great. Barely audible with stock cooling. Plenty of cooling options, cable routing, hidden SSD mounts behind motherboard tray, ect. I've also owned a few Corsair cases and liked those as well(800D, 250D). Still, looking at a quick review of the 330R, I'd select the R5 again.
