Hi all,

So I'm getting a new case for Christmas and saw that the R5 is out now by Fractal Design. So what looked at reviews and done some research into the case and was just wondering, what's your guys opinion on the this case: good or bad?

Also would you recommended any other case in this price range similar to this case.

Thanks for help in advice and merry Christmas to all 😀

Fractal Design Cases are always good in my opinion, you do pay a bit more then some other cases but if you like the design and everything works the way to want/need it to I say get it. I've just Bought myself a fractal design Node 804 for a new micro ATX build and it is just gorgeous 😀

It depends on your priorities. The R5 has some sound dampening foam built into it to keep things nice and quiet. I had the R4 in my previous build and man it did a good job of hiding fan noise.

Another case worth taking a serious look at is the Enthoo Pro (same price range). It doesn't offer the sound proofing, so you're going to hear the fans, but it is a brilliant case.

The Fractal Design is at the top end of cases when it comes to being good. It is the best silenced case. Just make sure you don't open up the top.

I highly recommend it if you want a quiet yet good case in the airflow department. Overall it is an excellent case.
