Hey,

I am building a new PC and I was wondering if I could use the kelvin S36 from fractal design ( http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/water-cooling/s36 ) to cool my intel core I7 6700k cpu ( http://ark.intel.com/nl/products/88195/Intel-Core-i7-6700K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_20-GHz ) on my asus z170A motherboard ( https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z170-A/specifications/ ).
Because I have seen alot of people do this but when you look at the socket types the cooler supports it sais that it doesn't support the socket type of the motherboard and the cpu.

And if this cooler does not support the Motherboard and the CPU is there an other AIO cooler that has a black and white/blue colorscheme?

Thanks in advance

Solution

The processor has nothing to do with the cooler.
The processor only has to worry to be compatible with the motherboard, which it is. You have nothing to worry about.
The cooler and the motherboard are compatible. All sockets are based with the same holes for mounting as the previous.
So you can use the cooler on any intel socket you like even 1151(z170A).

So the processor is also compatible with the cooler?
