Fractal Design R4 Fan Controller Problem

i have the fractal design define r4 and everytime i set the fans down to 7 or 5 vlots the fans just completely turn off, however they come on when set to 12v. i would like to fix this problem to make my pc quieter.everything is plugged in correctly and i dont see why it is not working. PLEASE HELP!
any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are you using the fans that came with the case, they should work fine, it may be the fan controller is bad, mine would only work on 12v and 5v, contacted Fractal, they sent me a new controller (really easy to replace) and I didn't have to send back my old broken one. I would recommend you contact Fratcal for a replacement.

i am using the fans that came with the case so i will just contact fractal and try to get a replacement.
