Recently I bought a Sapphire Nitro+ rx 580 Special edition and it went well but it started giving me black screens on Rainbow six siege, tried several drivers, w10 clean instal bios update and it started giving me the black screen more and more now i cant play any game.
After looking up what could be i found that the frame buffer is at 100% on idle and when the gpu has a decent workload, the drivers crash

System
Ryzen 5 1600 stock
ASUS Pime B350 Plus
16 GB DDR4 2400
RX 580 8GB
Corsair CX550M
Windows 10

updated drivers installed from AMD.com?

reset the BIOS by jumper

load standard defaults in BIOS, not optimized

How hot is the CPU and GPU getting?

all power cables installed?
CPU ATX12V 8pin connected and not just one 4Pin connector?

6+2Pin PCIe connector plugged in?

memory checked with memtest?

check the GPU in another system

eventually RMA the card

Have all the powercables in their right place gpu using a 8(6+2)+6 configuration. Have recently fixed the frame buffer(though dunno how) but crashes keep going on. Temperatures are about 60°C on average CPU and as much as 78°C on the gpu though mostly crashes at about 60-65°C.
Dont have anlther system to try out 🙁 really thinking of RMA.

I had this happen once, and it seemed that I had contracted some form of Bitcoin mining malware, which was constantly maxing out my graphics card. Once I figured this out....I took various steps to clean the system until I noticed nominal behaviour on the card again.

That would be my first thing to do... rule out any malware infection. Reformat the system, and if problems persist....then consider an RMA.
