I've been looking into what I can do in order to get my games to run a bit smoother. Most of them run decently, and the more intensive ones lead to frame drops which make that particular game near unplayable. I've come to the conclusion that I probably need a new CPU and go from there and see how I do. I wanna get some opinions on this too.
Here's a benchmark I just did on Vally Benchmark 1.0. Settings were on Extreme.
I realize this is a fairly intensive test, but during it I was getting a load of frame rate drops (as per the 18 FPS average)
I was also running MSI Afterburner to monitor my GPU & CPU usage, and found my GPU looking a bit irregular.
What intuition and what I expected to see was the card at or near 100% and dropping slightly between scene cuts, but this is all over the place.
I really could use some feedback as to how I can improve my system, software and hardware wise, as to getting this machine to be able to play any game I throw at it without dropping below 30 FPS
