[SOLVED] Frame drops in most games

So for a while now in most of my games, I'll have these weird micro drops, in hunt showdown I'll be running on the highest settings with a clean 60fps steady, then it'll drop to like 23 and bounce up between 60 and 23, its super frustrating and I've tried heaps of online fixes, going through my Nvidia settings, reinstalled drivers, etc. I re-seated my ram and it fixed it temporarily, overclocked using amd's easy overclock button in the bios settings and it fixed it temporarily. Run out of ideas.

I think it might be my CPU but I'm really unsure at this point.

AMD Ryzen 5 2600
12 threads - 3.4 GHz
Graphics Card:
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070
7.91 GB VRAM
Memory:
16 GB RAM
Random Access Memory
Platform:
Windows 10

I don't think your CPU is the problem, it may be because the game is loading something or just network issues.

I thought so too but my ping never goes up and I'm running the game on an almost new hard drive. I originally had it on an external hard drive and the same issue happened there too.

I would recommend SSDs for gaming but a HDD will be fine.

Ill try moving it onto my ssd and see if that fixes it.
