Frame drops on every game

[Hi Im Mig]

My friend got a laptop and he is experiencing some frame drops on every single game. I check the specs and it should be running it fine any ideas?

Specs:
i7-4700HQ
NVidia GTX760M
16GB DDR3 (2x8gb)

Laptops usually have a very slow hdd that causes delays when data needs to be read,also it could be overheating or be in balanced power mode.
